All about Shakira
Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, better known simply as Shakira, is a Colombian Latin pop singer-songwriter and she was born on february 2nd 1977. Shakira started writing and composing music at the age of eight. Sony columbia executive vargas agreed to hold an audition for shakira and she sang three songs and the performance was hit and then she signed to write and record three albums and her debut album was magia, second album was peligro, she released two albums when she was 15 and took a break to graduate for high school. Shakira returned to music business in 1995 and released Pies Descalzos and it has become commercial success.
Shakira was one of the last artists to win the now-defunct International Viewer's Choice Award at the MTV Video Music Awards and she won 5 MTV video music awards latin america for best female artist, best pop artist, best artist?north , video of the year, and artist of the year. Shakira presented a album called oral fixation 2 which was her english album and concert was hosted by MTV and she was featured in MTV 5 star compaign, she was the first artist to be featured in the compaign. She has won grammy award in the category of best latin rock album.
